Enterprise Cloud Management App company OKTA raised a further $16.5 in series B funding bringing the total raised so far to $28 million. Companies participating at this stage are Greylock Partners, Pinnacle Invest Group, Kholsa Ventures, Andreesen Horowitz and Floodgate.
OKTA is a cloud based solution app, founded by Todd McKinnon who is the former VP of Salesforce, the most successful cloud-based company. The platform enables the company to have control outside of the firewall over their users, apps and data held in the cloud.
McKinnon explains, that this platform is different because traditional security platforms do not work with the cloud. The challenge is ensuring security by monitoring users and access, in order to simplify the scalability of these apps, which ensures that businesses are maximizing apps in the cloud.
